About Ann Donofrio-Benson

Ann Donofrio-Benson has participated in multiple workshops, classes and trainings at the Institute for the Advancement of Service since the late 1990’s.  In 2008 she began her service at the Institute as a teaching team member, co-leading classes and workshops on the heart and emotional healing and on conscious living and spiritual practices for families.

Professionally she has taught children with special needs from primary to middle school in clinical and school settings in Ohio, Washington, DC, and Virginia.  She has led parent groups, focusing on child development, for parents of newborns and toddlers at the community hospital and community Y.  She holds a masters degree in early childhood special education from George Washington University, Washington, DC.
