About Karen Clark-Stone

Karen Clark-Stone has been a student of workshops, classes, and trainings at the Institute for the Advancement of Service since 1996.  She has co-led workshops and classes in boundaries, grief and loss, soul and service, and qigong.  She also serves as a member of the Prosperity Finance Committee and the IAS office staff.

Karen is a Registered Nurse having graduated from a three-year, hospital-based program at Madison General Hospital School of Nursing, with her BSN from Viterbo University and her MSN from the University of California-San Francisco.  Her practice has been in diverse settings including bedside nursing as a staff nurse, faculty in staff development and basic nursing education, quality assurance, and advanced practice nursing in psychiatric and mental health nursing.  Most recently, she served eighteen years with the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in mental health, with eleven years directing a busy intensive outpatient program for veterans with substance abuse problems, and dual diagnosis, including post-traumatic stress disorders
