Born to Serve

Study Programs

PURPOSE OF STUDY PROGRAM

The purpose of the online Born to Serve Study Program is to support individuals in their experience of service as an expression of their soul’s evolution. Students will integrate knowledge and experience concerning the soul – service connection by strengthening the awareness of the relationship between their motives for serving and the quality of their service.

BENEFITS OF STUDY PROGRAM

1. To experience service as an equal partnership between the server and the served; this partnership supports the emergence of each other’s higher potential into a joint masterpiece
2. To experience service as a fulfilling and joyful presence in your soul’s journey
3. To practice the dynamic relationship between your inner work and your service
4. To acquire practical psychological and spiritual tools that support both the server and the served

MAKING THE DECISION

The Born to Serve Study Program spans six months and consists of twelve modules. You will work with each module for two weeks. Once a month you will speak by phone with your assigned faculty member. A phone call with your faculty person takes place each time you have completed two modules, totaling six phone calls. Your faculty member will send you an email that explains the focus of each phone call.

The six-month program allows time to work with the material and integrate its teachings at a gradual pace. You can expect to spend approximately four to six hours per week in the six-month program.

Ask yourself if now is the time for you to devote yourself to the course. Consider enrolling only if you plan to fulfill the program requirements. The course cannot be extended past the original six-month time period.

REGISTRATION AND PHONE CALLS

Step One: Registration: Within ten calendar days after registering on The Clarion Way website, you will receive Module One of the Born to Serve Study Program, a set of Universal Tribute cards, have two orientation phone calls with staff members, and be matched with a faculty member. During these ten days, please be sure to order a copy of Born to Serve if you do not already have one.

Step Two: Getting to Know You Phone Call: Once you have registered for the Born to Serve Study Program, you will receive a brief phone call from one of the website’s staff members. The purpose of this phone call is to welcome you to the program and to ask you a few questions that will assist the staff in matching you with a faculty member. We will be interested in learning about the general focus of your past and present service work and about what has drawn you at this time to the Born to Serve Study Program.

Step Three: Orientation with Faculty Phone Call: You will receive a phone call from the author, Susan Trout, and your assigned faculty member. The purpose of this phone call is to review course contents, requirements, and structures of the Study Program. Your website faculty member will support your six-month work with Born to Serve by checking in with you by phone once a month. If possible, scan the Born to Serve book prior to the phone call to gain an overview of its contents, knowing you will be returning to it to do deeper work.

To prepare for the orientation phone call, contemplate the level of your commitment to work with and complete the program. Being in partnership with the Study Program enables you to receive maximum benefit from its readings and exercises. In other words, there is a direct relationship between the time, energy, and commitment you give to the individual modules and how much you grow and learn from the material.

SIX-MONTH, TWELVE-MODULE PROGRAM

For optimal use of the study program material, be willing to acknowledge unrealized potential in yourself and to recognize projection, denial, and neglect in your own and others’ service. When you know that a reservoir of creativity and psychological and spiritual strength lies hidden within you, you can safely commit to improving the quality of your inner state and thus the quality of your service. You can experience service as a joyful presence in your life.
